I think joy and sweetness and affection are a spiritual path. We're here to know God, to love and serve God, and to be blown away by the beauty and miracle of nature. You just have to get rid of so much baggage to be light enough to dance, to sing, to play. You don't have time to carry grudges; you don't have time to cling to the need to be right.

That is so interesting...yesterday at our servants' mtg at church, my priest was talking about the #1 value that he has in guiding his life, and what he also sees in the church service, and he said simply, "Know God, love God, serve God." Just like it's written here! And for the ... people such as myself, who are always looking for a path, it helps to see just how simple God made it for us to be in a relationship with him.
